Here we go-

Welcome! I am going to do my very best to give everyone (fans, friends, family, pets, next-door neighbors, uninterested web browsers, etc.) a look into the 2008 season with the Tulane Green Wave baseball team. I am going to focus primarily on our NEAR the field antics, moreso than anything on the actual baseball field. I am not trying to put Richie Weaver out of business, and I feel like he has the whole "on-field" thing under control (besides, he gets paid). Check the official site (http://www.tulanegreenwave.com/) for any of that nonsense.

Anyways, basically how it's going to work is, I am going to drop some wisdom about what we're doing, throw in some photographs (when appropriate), and throw in what I deem to be the most entertaining, inspiring, and/or ridiculous quote heard among the guys for the given period. I think all in all it will be a good time, and it will save me from having the same phone conversation 9 different times, so.... win, win, win.

All that said- let's get down to business:
It's getting pretty exciting around here at the moment. First of all, our first team practice is going to be this friday, followed by our first intrasquads of the spring (even though it sure resembles winter) Saturday and Sunday. Greer Field at Turchin Stadium... henceforth referred to as G-FATS for convenience sake... is coming along great. It is looking better everyday and will be one of the finest facilities in the country. I know I speak for everyone when I say we're pretty fired up to play there.

Anywho- that's about all I have got for now, It's Mardi Gras around here at the moment, so.... we're really just focusing hard on classwork this weekend.

And now for the very first "Quote of the day":
"Dude, you HAVE to catch Rambo. I would have paid $50 bucks to see it. The last scene, I swear... I was crying and laughing at the same time... but I wasn't crying BECAUSE I was laughing, it was just that intense."
